Who Do, Voodoo? - Rochelle Staab 3.5 StarsEnjoyable first in series! There were a couple thing that annoyed me a little, but they're more personal dislikes then anything actually wrong with the book. First was the romance. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of the romance genre, but it bugs me that every cozy feels the need to have a romantic relationship in it. I guess if it wasn't always such a cliché set up (in this case the two have known each other for years, but never realized just how attractive the other is, fall completely in love with each other before the end of the book blah, blah, blah) I'd be more accepting of it. Second was how long it took for the murder to take place. I want a body in the first few chapters. I had to wait until around the 100 page mark for one. These two thing keep the book from getting an even 4 stars. Since the author 1) did give us a little something to keep us entertained until the body showed up and 2) was able to keep me from guessing who the killer was to the very end keeps this from getting an even 3 stars. I really liked Liz and Nick, but have to admit, I LOVED a lot of the secondary characters. I'm hoping we get to see a few of them pop in here and there in the second book. All I know about Voodoo and Hoodoo has come from movies and TV, so it was really neat getting to learn a little bit of the differences between them. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series
